Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani received a delegation from Apple on Monday in the presence of Media and Telecommunications Commission Chairman Mr. Ali Al-Muayyad and Al Hadeel Al Hasan Law Firm Managing Partner Ms. Hadeel Hasan.
During the meeting, they discussed joint topics, where the Prime Minister pointed out that Iraq is witnessing today transformations in digital reality and spoke about the work of the High Committee for Digital Transformation in Iraq under his chairmanship, in addition to other committees working in the same field, and pointed to the transformation of Iraq into a thriving investment environment in which many major companies operate, which requires accelerated digital adaptation.
H.E. stressed the importance of raising the levels of youth’s digital and technological capacity to expand job and employment opportunities and implement the government’s programs aimed at completing all transactions through an integrated digital environment.
For his part, the company’s delegation suggested working within the framework of contributing to the development of youth capabilities, paying attention to developers in the fields of technology in cooperation with universities, as well as registering the phones that enter Iraq to make them competitively priced, and the importance of the company’s phone products, as they support the digital transformations of the economy and finance.
